"Don't hesitate to call Milton's Sudbury Appliance. I highly recommend them! I felt good about calling them as I saw glowing reviews from past customers who I know personally, and their service did not disappoint. That's why I'm writing a review - the first review I think I've ever written online for a business or service. If you need an appliance repaired, these folks deserve your business. They know their stuff; they communicate clearly; they show up on time; and they are a small family business that operates mostly on word-of-mouth recommendations. My dryer stopped heating and turning when I tried drying too many towels at once last week. I called Milton’s and left a voicemail. Diane in the office called me back promptly to get my information and schedule the appointment. They were available to come out the next day. I had them come out earlier today instead, as that worked better for my work schedule. As other customers have noted, Justin, the repair person, is very friendly and knowledgeable. He heard my side of the story, immediately opened the dryer and saw that my drum belt was snapped / broken. He looked in his van and had a replacement belt that fit. He tested the dryer and it worked perfectly. This process took less than 15 minutes. We spent more time talking about how dryers are designed and how appliance manufacturers actually wish there were more appliance repair people to service their warrantied machines than anything else. As others have noted, Milton’s accepts credit cards, so payment is quick and easy if you don’t have cash or a checkbook. The service fee consisted of a flat diagnostic fee, a reasonable labor cost, and the cost plus sales tax for the replacement belt. The price seemed reasonable to me and is certainly cheaper and easier than buying a new dryer or trying to fix it myself. When I bought my house the washer and dryer came with it, which I mentioned. Justin did me the courtesy of letting me know the washer is in good condition and will probably last a while, whereas the dryer is about 15 years old and may just need to be replaced next time something goes wrong with it. It's great to know that ahead of time to be able to plan for a future purchase. Milton’s Sudbury Appliance is the only appliance repair business I will ever use. I hope they stick around for a long time and find a young person to train in the trade."
